Guyana’s agriculture sector is positioned to become a modern, diversified, and export-oriented growth engine. Over the next five years, investments in corn & soy, cassava, coconut, hot peppers, and rice will strengthen food security, generate rural prosperity, and build resilience against climate risks. Through climate-smart infrastructure, processing, certification, and traceability, Guyana can reduce import dependence, expand exports, and lead CARICOM’s regional food security agenda.
